Wanda L. Tuck, Treasurer

Ms. Tuck retired from the City of Philadelphia after 40 years of employment. During her tenure, she worked in various departments with a variety of job classifications and responsibilities.   Ms. Tuck’s promotional path has led to an Administrative Technician for the Mayor’s Office of Information Services (MOIS), where she supports the Deputy Director of Communications.  This unit is responsible for ordering, maintaining and making payments to vendors who supply the City of Philadelphia with all forms of communication services and supplies, such as underground cabling, wireless and land lines, Internet, cell phones, pagers and cable television.


Ms. Tuck was elected to Philadelphia Municipal Employees Recreation Council (PMERC) and has served as Financial Secretary for the past twenty-five years.  This organization is a recreational outlet for City employees and their families and promotes activities that create a sense of well being and   Ms. Tuck served as Treasurer of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Usher Board for over nineteen years.   She has served as Treasurer on three of Overbrook High School-Class of ’68 Reunion Committees.  She has worked part-time for ten years as a Tax Professional for H & R Block.   Ms. Tuck as an entrepreneur has established a Professional Tax Preparation and Consulting Business.

Ms. Tuck holds an Associate’s degree in Business from Community College of Philadelphia. She will be responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and credit and information processing, and project recreational manager.
